At First Baptist Church of Casa Grande, our faith is centered on Jesus Christ and grounded in God’s Word.
The following summary highlights the core biblical truths that guide our preaching, teaching, and ministry. While no statement can replace Scripture itself, these convictions reflect what we believe the Bible teaches.
The Bible
We believe the Bible is God’s inspired and preserved Word, the final authority for faith and life. Through Scripture, God reveals His character, His plan of salvation, and His will for His people.
God
We believe there is one true and living God who exists eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is sovereign over all things and worthy of all worship, honor, and glory.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose bodily from the grave.
He is the only Savior of the world, and salvation is found in Him alone.
Salvation
We believe salvation is God’s gift of grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone—not by works, religious effort, or human merit.
When a person places their faith in Christ, they are forgiven, made new, adopted into God’s family, and secure in Him forever.
True salvation results in a changed life—not perfection, but a growing desire to follow Jesus Christ.
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer at salvation, convicts of sin, guides us into truth, and empowers us to live for Christ.
He is our Comforter, Teacher, and Guide, producing spiritual growth and Christlike character in the life of every believer.
Man and Sin
We believe every person is created in the image of God and deeply loved by Him. Because of sin, all people are separated from God and unable to save themselves.
Every person needs the forgiveness and grace that God offers through Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ.
The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ.
Local churches exist to worship God, teach His Word, encourage one another, and share the hope of the Gospel with the world.
Christian Living
We believe those who are saved are called to live lives that reflect the character of Christ.
We do not obey God in order to earn salvation, but because we have received it by grace through faith.
Truth and Love
Love and truth go together. We seek to speak the truth of God’s Word with humility, patience, and compassion.
We speak the truth clearly, and we do so with humility, patience, and compassion.
Life
We believe life begins at conception and is a gift from God.
Every human life is valuable, and we do not have the authority to take innocent life.
Eternity
We believe every person will spend eternity either in the presence of God or separated from Him.
Heaven and hell are real. The decision to trust Christ is not temporary—it is eternal.
The Return of Christ
We believe Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly, and that His return is imminent.
This is the hope of every believer.
